devicemainThe ultimate network administration tool for your Android phone.

Download the server software:
ANAService (released 9/1/2010).

ANA provides an interface for monitoring computers on your network both via a Windows compatible server application and also a mobile version for Android devices.

In addition to network monitoring, ANA also provides Active Directory user management. With ANA you are able to search your pre-setup OU’s for user accounts. You can see fill account details for each account, including emails (Exchange) and perform password resets.

Android Network Admin is a client and server software combination that allows network administrators to keep a realtime view of the network status while on the go.

serverThe server portion is run on a computer that is (typically) inside the network and is able to ping all the machines that are to be monitored. You will see a visual display on the server of all the monitored machines and their status.

You can easily add, remove, and edit monitored computers by right clicking on the screen and selecting the appropriate option from the context menu.

There is also a log window on the right hand side of the server application that shows all communication from the mobile units. Here you can watch all the commands and functions performed by clients that are connected to the server.

When you are mobile, ANA shows a network display exactly like it appears on the server software.

The option to show either the entire network map at once, or zoomed in and scrollable is toggled by pressing the menu button on the Android device.

The monitor status is refreshed on the device in 30 second intervals. While in zoom mode however, updating is paused to allow you to scroll around in the zoomed state without worrying about a refresh changing the display or status.

Machines that respond to a successful ping will show as green on the display. Machines that are unreachable, or do not respond, will be shown with a red background.

This makes it easy to see machines that are down and need attention.

devicesearchUser management functions are also only a button click away. In order to take advantage of the Active Directory features, you simply need to add a list of OU’s in the server application that contain your users.

Once the OU’s are setup, you can shoose which OU to search (or search all) and enter your search critieria. All users matching your criteria will be displayed in the list.

From the list of results, a normal press on a returned user will bring up account details.

A long press will show you the actions you can take on the user account. Currently only change password is implemented.

Administrator credentials must be supplied to change the password for an account.

This version of ANA is still an early release. We are looking forward to adding functionality for many of the common day-to-day tasks that are performed by Active Directory administrators.

We hope you find this current implementation useful. As usual, we look forward to getting your feedback. If you have problems or suggestions. Feel free to email us.

We always respond to your emails, and consider all requests.

Thanks for looking.
